Silver, &c. (China).
Martis, 16o die Martii, 1858.
Resolved, That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, that She will be graciously pleased to give directions that there be laid before this House, Copies of any Correspondence which has been received at the Colonial Office and the Foreign Office upon the subject of the supply of Silver in the markets of China, the rates of Exchange at Shanghai and Canton, and in reference to proposals for remedying the inconveniences experienced from the high rate of Exchange at Shanghai; and of any Treasury Minutes having reference thereto.
Ordered, That the said Address be presented to Her Majesty by such Members of this House as are of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.
